A Fall Inspired Treat For Your Face

Enzymes have two main uses when it comes to skincare - exfoliation and anti-inflammation. This is a gentler way to exfoliate your skin rather than your traditional scrub or microdermabrasion treatments, especially if they’re too harsh. Fruit enzymes are the perfect alternative, and are so easy to find right in your fridge. This Balinese inspired papaya mask is the perfect way to get you in the mood for fall - pumpkin spice latte not included. Follow the recipe from Bali below for a fresh glowing complexion.

  • 2/3 cup of fresh papaya, mashed

  • 15 oz. can of pure pumpkin

  • 1 egg, beaten until frothy

  1. Cut the papaya in half, and discard the seeds.

  2. Scoop out the papaya fruit and mash, and then mix in the egg.

  3. Add the pumpkin and whip together. You can also put ingredients in the blender or food processor for an extra smooth mask.

Apply the mask to a clean face avoiding the eye area. If you have sensitive skin we suggest testing the mixture on your hand before spreading it to your face. You’ll feel some tingling as the enzymes in the pumpkin go to work immediately gently exfoliating your top layer of skin. Leave on for ten minutes, rinse, and follow with your favorite moisturizer.
